SNOW BLOCKS

REALIZATION
– The snow blocks will each
be cut into 8 cubes,
size 75 x 75 x 75 cm.
– The inside of the cubes will be carved out about 25 cm deep.
– A tunnel for a neonlight tube will be drilled in each cube. After the neonlight tube is installed, the hole will be closed with snow. The light will be interesting, because of Luleås short days. The cubes will ‘glow’ in the dark and the colours/prints will be visible in a different way.
– The first series of cubes will
be filled in layers with coloured water and crushed ice.
– The second series of cubes will be filled with ice blocks from the river with photoprints of water surfaces underneath.
